On this sort of typical recap sheet, the names were changed to protect the innocent.
I only am showing the north-south pairs, but it works for either direction.
ALL CORRECTIONS MUST GET TO THE DIRECTOR IN A TIMELY MANNER!
At a tournament, this is usually within a half hour of the scores being posted.
SO IF YOU SUSPECT A MISTAKE, CHECK YOUR SCORES RIGHT AWAY!
A club game may give you a little more leeway, but don't come up a week later and hope for
a scoring correction!
The steps for checking your scores:
1. First, look both at the top to verify the event, and on the bottom to make sure you are there.
Let's say you are "Top Player" and you can't figure out why you were second.
2. Find your pair number
3. Check your scores (they will appear in a column below) The results of the other players
are shown on the horizontal column along with your score. Where you find a --- that means
you didn't play the board. You shouldn't have a score on your scorecard for it. 4. Make sure all scores agree with what you have on your private score. Didn't keep one?
Well, you are out of luck! Above your score you will see the matchpoints you received for
your score. You get 1 point for every pair you beat and a half point for all you tie. Maybe
you thought you got a great score for bidding and making 6N (1440), but looking at the
recap, you might find other players bid 6S but made 7 (1460). Or maybe you thought you
might get a good board for beating the opponents 1 in 3Sx (vul) for +200, but you look
and see several other players bid game with your cards!
